December On the Run

This month has been full and inspiring as I connected with communities across Kings South and celebrated the people who make our region so special. I popped into the sold-out Night Kitchen show at the Al Whittle Theatre, attended the Kings County Federation of Agriculture AGM, and had the pleasure of experiencing the very first ROOTED Gala in support of 4-H youth. I spent time door-knocking, hosting my monthly pop-up, and chatting with Acadia University students to hear their perspectives. I was honoured to help recognize two remarkable local youths who earned the Chief Scout Award, joined the First Wolfville Scouts for Remembrance Day, and toured both The Flower Cart Group and L’Arche Homefires to see their meaningful work firsthand. I also walked in the New Minas Parade of Lights, joined Minister Tim Halman for a great conversation with students at Acadia, and met with colleagues and the CBDC to learn more about the supports available for local entrepreneurs. It’s been a wonderful month of conversations, community, and connection. I was also able to pop in to celebrate two Grand Openings. Welcome to Kings South New Minas Popeyes and Firehouse Subs Canada
