Happy Apple Blossom!
There’s something special about this time of year in the Valley. The blossoms are out, the air feels a little lighter, and there’s a sense that the whole community is waking up and stepping outside together. And for 92 years now, this festival has been at the heart of that feeling. This isn’t just a celebration of blossoms. It’s a celebration of who we are. It’s about community, shared traditions, and the kind of connection you can only find in a place like this. Of course, n

Kay is vibrant, full of life, and an absolute delight to spend time with. 2026 Spring Conference of the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities
It was an incredibly informative, with meaningful discussions on the challenges our municipalities are facing and, just as importantly, the opportunities ahead. From infrastructure and Storm Water Management to energy efficiency and community capacity, there was no shortage of valuable insight. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the importance of collaboration. Many of the challenges highlighted, especially for smaller or rural communities, cannot be solved in isolation.

CFUW Wolfville at the Wolfville Legion
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of speaking with the members and guests of the CFUW Wolfville at the Wolfville Legion. It was a wonderful afternoon, filled with thoughtful conversation, great questions, and yes… a really lovely tea. But more than that, it was a chance to talk about something I think many of us are feeling right now, even if we haven’t quite found the words for it. The generational divide. In my work over the past two decades in recruitment, coaching, and buil
