This is such a special time of year as students celebrate graduations, families look ahead to summer plans, and our communities begin to enjoy longer days, warmer weather, and more time together.
To all of the graduates, congratulations on this exciting milestone. Whether you are finishing elementary school, junior high, high school, college, university, or another program, your hard work and commitment deserve to be celebrated. Wishing you confidence, joy, and success as you take your next steps.
As L.M. Montgomery wrote, “I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.” It is a beautiful reminder to enjoy this season, take in the sunshine, and appreciate the people and places around us.
As summer begins, it is also a good time to step back from the constant noise of online spaces and reconnect in person. Whether it is a conversation on a front step, a visit with a neighbour, a community event, or time spent with family and friends, there is real value in enjoying the company of others face to face.
Summer also brings roadwork season. Please take extra care when driving through construction zones, slow down, and watch for crews working to improve our roads and infrastructure. A sincere thank you to the crews who are out in all kinds of weather doing this important work to keep our communities moving.
We also want to let residents know that our website is the best place to find the most up-to-date information. While we will continue to share some updates on social media, our website is updated regularly and includes more detail, resources, and information than we are able to provide on Facebook.
As always, our office is here to help. The best ways to connect with us directly are by email or by phone.
Wishing everyone a happy and memorable start to summer!
