It’s been another busy and inspiring stretch here in the Valley, connecting with people who make such a difference in our communities.
I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work being done by our Public Works team.
Throughout a winter marked by significant snowfall, our plow drivers and crews have been working around the clock, doing what they do best—keeping our roads as safe and passable as possible. Their dedication, long hours, and commitment to the safety of our communities do not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for the essential service they provide every day.
In New Minas, we met with fire service leaders as part of the ongoing Fire Service Legislation Engagement Sessions. Chiefs, deputy chiefs, and fire coordinators shared thoughtful and practical insights shaped by the real-life demands of serving their communities. These conversations are essential as we work together to strengthen and support our fire services.
We also had the pleasure of celebrating local arts and talent at the Al Whittle Theatre, where Valley Drama School presented three wonderful performances of Nellie in the Upper Theatre. The talent on that stage was truly incredible, and it’s been a joy to watch these young performers grow and thrive over the years.
And finally, congratulations to Carl Jr. and the entire team at Carl’s Your Independent Grocer on the grand opening of your newly expanded store. This investment is great news for the community, creating more space, more choice, and continued local service.
Moments like these are a reminder of the dedication, creativity, and hard work that keep our communities strong.
