May was a busy and rewarding month in Kings South and beyond. I dropped by the Valley Search and Rescue open house, toured their facility, and learned about their equipment. I had the pleasure of celebrating Kathleen Isnor’s 99th birthday, took part in McHappy Day in New Minas in support of Brigadoon, and attended the Wolfville Legion’s 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Holland ceremony.
I joined CAPRE for their grand opening, stopped in at Benjamin Bridge to hear about their exciting new projects, and toured businesses in Annapolis with colleagues, and local MLAs. I also visited a Girl Guide meeting, toured Shannex, hosted a pop-up office in Hants Border, and met with community groups including the Rotary Club, Lions, and Village of New Minas.
Convocation season at Acadia was in full swing, and I was pleased to attend three ceremonies as well as the Divinity Commissioning Supper. I also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Rotary Club of New Minas Sunrise. Finally, I had productive meetings with Hon. Fred Tilley, MLA Northside Westmount and others to discuss infrastructure priorities for our area.
