Today I popped in to grab a few items at the Foodland Coldbrook and it was great to meet Jill from Nova Scotia Loyal and see firsthand how this program is helping connect Nova Scotians with the incredible products being grown and made right here at home.

Jill was showcasing some delicious local products, including tomatoes and cucumbers from the Truro area, Annapolis Fine Cheese, and Axe to Grind toppings. It was a great reminder of just how much variety we have available from Nova Scotia farmers, producers and small businesses.
Nova Scotia Loyal is about making it easier for all of us to choose local. The program works to increase the awareness, value and sales of Nova Scotia agri-food, seafood and beverage products through retailers, food service businesses, marketing initiatives and partnerships.

For a small Nova Scotia company, getting a product in front of more customers can mean increased sales, new retail opportunities, stronger brand recognition and the ability to grow their business here at home. For our farmers and food producers, choosing Nova Scotia products also helps strengthen the local supply chain and keeps more of our food dollars circulating within our province.

Thank you to Jill for spending time in Coldbrook and helping introduce shoppers to some fantastic Nova Scotia products, and thank you to Coldbrook Foodland for providing a place for our local producers to be seen and discovered.
