Students at Nova Scotia Legislature
It was a real privilege to welcome students from Acadia University, St. Mary's University and University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres to the Legislature.
My colleagues joined us to share a little about the work we do, both inside the Legislature and back in our communities. The students also had the chance to hear from caucus staff, take a tour of Province House led by Legislature staff, and speak with the Sergeant-at-Arms about the traditions, responsibilities, and day-to-day workings of the House.

One of the parts of this role I am most grateful for is the opportunity to open the doors of the Legislature to students and give them a closer look at how our democratic institutions work and the many people who keep them running.

It is a privilege to serve here, and I am always grateful for opportunities like this to share that experience with the next generation of leaders, professionals, and engaged citizens.
A special thank you to Professor Alex Marland for helping bring this group together and creating the opportunity for students to experience the Legislature firsthand.
Thank you as well to everyone who helped make the visit such a great experience, and especially to the students for bringing such thoughtful questions and enthusiasm.
